  1. For health information, refer to State Animal Health Requirements in forepart of Exhibitor Handbook.
  2. Completed Animal Identification & Veterinarian Check form must accompany animal(s) upon arrival at Fair.
  3. Decisions regarding contagious condition of animals made by attending veterinarian are final and will be enforced by Superintendents.
  4. All dairy cattle exhibits are to be in place by 5:00 p.m. Friday.
    The Dairy Show will start at 9:00 a.m. Saturday.
  5. Exhibitors must fill out and present Cattle Registration form (found in middle section of book) for all cattle brought to the Fair upon arrival at fairgrounds on entry day.
  6. Exhibitor can show only one animal under an entry number.
  7. Purebred cattle may not be shown as grades.
  8. If 16 or more animals are entered in any class, the class may be divided into two groups and each group judged as a class.
  9. Definitions:
    1. A spring calf is one born on or after March 1 of the exhibit year.
    2. A winter calf is one whose date of birth is between December 1 of the year preceding the exhibit year and February 28 or  29 of the exhibit year.
    3. A fall calf is one whose date of birth is between September 1 and November 30 of the year preceding the exhibit yr.
    4. A summer yearling is one whose date of birth is between June 1 and August 31 of the year preceding the exhibit year.
    5. A spring yearling is one whose date of birth is between March 1 and May 31 of the year preceding the exhibit year.
    6. A winter yearling is one whose date of birth is between December 1 of the second year preceding the exhibit year and  February 28 or 29 of the year preceding the exhibit year.
    7. A fall yearling is one whose date of birth is between September 1 and November 30 of the second year preceding the exhibit year.
    8. A 2-year old is one born between September 1 of the third year preceding the exhibit year and August 31 of the second year preceding the exhibit year. A 2-year-old includes a yearling that has freshened.
    9. A 3-year old is one whose date of birth is between September 1 of the fourth year preceding the exhibit year and August 31 of the third year preceding the exhibit year.
    10. A 4-year old is one whose date of birth is between September 1 of the fifth year preceding the exhibit year and August 31 of the fourth year preceding the exhibit year.
  10. Members participating in Dairy Showmanship should include a Class 7 entry on a regular Entry Blank with other entries.
